You know what makes me think? When people say “I’ve been there.” Just like that, as if they know exactly what I’m going through.

Truth is, pain hits different for everyone. Sure, maybe you’ve felt lost too, or had your world turn upside down, but your story isn’t mine. Those nights when I couldn’t sleep, when everything I planned just fell apart, when even the good stuff seemed to mock me by disappearing so fast — that’s my journey, my mess.

We’re all stuck in this weird waiting game, right?

Holding out for better days. And man, the crazy part?

When good stuff finally shows up, we’re almost too scared to enjoy it. Because we know — we just know — it won’t stick around. It’s like, winning is never our thing. We are waiting for good things to turn bad. When they’re bad, we’re desperate for anything good.

Life’s funny that way. Or maybe not funny — more like twisted. But you know what? The stuff I’ve been through… it’s changed me. Not in that picture-perfect way people talk about. It’s messy. Real. Sometimes ugly. But it’s made me someone who gets it. Someone who knows what matters. I don’t waste time anymore on stupid things that used to seem so important.
